Vivian Stanshall
Singer, writer and comic performer

Vivian Stanshall was the singer and comic presence at the front of the Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, bringing eccentricity and surreal humour to their music.
The band’s early professional cabaret work took them to social clubs in Newcastle and South Shields in 1966. They had already performed in London pubs and on television before these northern engagements, which connected their developing career with the North East club circuit.
