Jack Haig

Jack Haig became familiar to audiences across Britain as Monsieur Leclerc in the sitcom ’Allo ’Allo! North East viewers had known his clowning long before that, through his Tyne Tees character Wacky Jacky, also remembered as Wacky Jackie.

He appeared on The One O’Clock Show and entertained children in Happy Go Lucky, bringing a music-hall style of physical comedy to the region’s early television schedules.
