Hughie Malone

Hughie Malone brought comedy, acting and pantomime to Consett and its surrounding communities. In 2006 he received an MBE for services to the Consett community, with the honours list recording his name as Hugh Malone. His charity work included a pantomime-dame performance at a Macmillan fundraising evening in Lanchester in 2005.
