Pyramid
Comedy and music group
Pyramid were a Gateshead comedy band whose members were Steve Laidlaw, Allen Mechen and Brian Pick. They appeared on the television talent show New Faces on 8 June 1974.
Host Derek Hobson is said to have compared their mixture of music and comedy with the Barron Knights and the Grumbleweeds. A later history of the programme also draws the Grumbleweeds comparison.
