Nod the Poet
Punk poet

Nod the Poet emerged on Newcastle’s punk-poetry scene in the late 1970s. In his own account, he began writing and performing around 1978 and 1979, developing work that combined political concerns with surreal subjects and images.
He appeared on BBC North East and Tyne Tees television in the early 1980s and recorded his work. His poetry is also remembered as being issued on singles.
