Nat Jackley
Comedian and actor

Sunderland-born Nat Jackley made his gangly frame and flexible “rubber neck” central to a long career in physical comedy. In the 1920s he performed in a double act with his sister Joy, a partnership said to have begun in 1922.
His career carried him from variety and pantomime into film and television. He appeared as the Rubber Man in the Beatles’ Magical Mystery Tour and was still acting in 1985, when he played Paper in Minder.
