Jimmy James

Jimmy James moved to Stockton as a child and became a comedian almost by accident. Originally a singer, he filled in when a comedian failed to arrive for a performance of Movie Maid and found a new direction for his career.

His timing and rapport with an audience made him a favourite of fellow performers. Eric Morecambe called him “one of the greats”. The surreal turns in his comedy could make him seem ahead of his time.
