Jimmy McCormack

County Durham wrestler Jim McCormack combined athletic skill with the showmanship that made wrestling such a lively part of popular entertainment. Trained by Jim Stockdale, he worked for independent promoters from 1961 to 1981.

Recollections collected by Wrestling Heritage describe a performer who was popular with spectators but exhausting to face in the ring. One opponent compared wrestling McCormack to working with a JCB, a tribute to his relentless energy.
