Anne Wood

Spennymoor-born Anne Wood became a leading producer of children's television and founded Ragdoll Productions. She co-created Teletubbies with Andrew Davenport, who also created and wrote In the Night Garden from Wood's original concept.

Earlier, as TV-am's head of children's programming, Wood produced the Roland Rat programmes. The puppet, created and performed by David Claridge, became an important part of the breakfast broadcaster's recovery through his popularity with viewers.
