Alan Snell

Alan Snell took an eccentric comic persona around the club circuit and onto television. In Super Gran he played one of the Scunner Campbell’s heavies, credited as one of the Muscles.

His act has drawn comparisons with Bobby Thompson, while a later reviewer compared his clothes and appearance with Rab C. Nesbitt, a television character who arrived after Snell’s club career was established.
